Comerio Ercole continues to strengthen its commitment to employee wellbeing and corporate sustainability through its participation in the WHP Lombardia Program (Workplace Health Promotion). Alongside technological innovation, the company has increasingly invested in ESG initiatives. The company has been part of the WHP network since 2019, joining a regional initiative promoted by the World Health Organization model for healthier workplaces.
The program, supported by Regione Lombardia and ATS Insubria, encourages companies to adopt concrete measures that improve employees’ health, safety and quality of life. This year, Comerio Ercole was once again recognized as a workplace that promotes health. As part of the WHP certification path, Comerio Ercole has introduced several initiatives aimed at promoting healthier lifestyles among employees. These include healthy nutrition programs in company cafeterias and vending areas, physical activity initiatives such as walking groups and corporate fitness spaces, anti-smoking campaigns, work-life balance support measures and sustainable mobility projects.
Comerio Ercole recently had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students from the Istituto Fermi for an educational visit focused on innovation, technology and the world of advanced industrial manufacturing.
During the day, the students had the opportunity to discover the company’s production environment through a guided tour of the workshops and manufacturing departments, where they closely observed the different stages involved in the construction of Comerio Ercole machinery.
The visit allowed them to better understand the combination of engineering expertise, precision and technological innovation that characterizes the company’s daily activities. One of the most appreciated moments of the visit was the presentation dedicated to digital innovation and technical training.
The students were introduced to the virtual reality systems used by Comerio Ercole for technician training and machine support activities. Through the use of Oculus headsets and immersive simulations, they experienced how new technologies are helping improve learning processes, maintenance operations, and remote technical assistance in the industrial sector. The meeting also included a presentation of the company’s history, international projects and sustainability initiatives, giving students a broader perspective on the opportunities and challenges of modern manufacturing industries. For Comerio Ercole, initiatives like this represent an important opportunity to build connections with younger generations, promote technical education and inspire future professionals by sharing the company’s passion for innovation and engineering excellence. Comerio Ercole would like to thank the students and teachers of Istituto Fermi for their enthusiasm, curiosity and active participation throughout the visit.
