On 13 November 2025, Comerio Ercole proudly welcomed students into its headquarters for the new edition of PMI DAY – Industriamoci, the national initiative promoted by Confindustria to bring young people closer to the world of Italian small and medium-sized enterprises. The theme chosen this year, “Choose”, invited students to reflect on their future paths and to approach the world of work with greater awareness and curiosity.
The visit began with a tour through the heart of the company’s production activities. Students first entered the assembly area, where they could observe the meticulous work behind the construction of complex calendering lines and mechanical components. Technicians explained how precision, coordination and problem-solving play an essential role in every stage of assembly, helping the visitors appreciate the level of expertise required in an industrial environment.
The tour continued in the machine-tool department, where students discovered the world of CNC machining and the importance of accuracy in shaping high-performance components.
Another important moment of the visit was the stop in the non-woven laboratory, an area that allowed students to see how research and innovation are integrated into Comerio Ercole’s daily activities. Here, they learned how testing, prototyping and material analysis contribute to developing competitive solutions and maintaining the company’s long-standing leadership in the sector.
The day concluded in the training room, where a virtual-reality demonstration using Oculus headsets made a strong impression on the students. Through immersive simulations, they were able to experience operational scenarios in a safe and intuitive way, discovering how digital tools are transforming industrial learning and enhancing technical training. For many, this was one of the most memorable parts of the event and a clear example of how traditional industry can embrace modern, forward-looking technologies.
Throughout the morning, students engaged with engineers, technicians and young apprentices, asking questions and gaining a clearer understanding of the professional opportunities offered by the manufacturing sector. Their curiosity, combined with the openness of the Comerio Ercole staff, created a constructive and inspiring atmosphere.
For Comerio Ercole, PMI Day represents much more than an open-house event.
This edition of PMI Day 2025 not only allowed students to discover the depth and dynamism of the industrial world but also reaffirmed the importance of fostering strong connections between companies and the younger generation. Helping them “choose” their future with confidence is a responsibility that Comerio Ercole is proud to embrace.
